Following the first phase of the initiative at Prathom Nonsee School, Triple i employees gathered once again for the second phase of the “Growing with Care: School Gardening for Children” activity at Wat Khlong Phum School in Yannawa District, Bangkok.
Despite the large planting area, the activity was successfully completed in a short time through the collaborative efforts of students, teachers, and Triple i volunteers. The initiative was organized to support the school lunch program, along with a financial contribution provided to the school for the continued benefit of its students.
The vegetable gardening activity offers significant value for students. In addition to providing access to safe, chemical-free produce, it promotes learning about nature and instills a sense of responsibility through hands-on activities such as planting, watering, soil preparation, and observing plant growth. It also contributes to physical development, enhances problem-solving skills, and fosters a sense of pride as students see the results of their efforts.
The “Growing with Care” initiative focuses on cultivating easy-to-grow, easy-to-maintain vegetables that can be quickly harvested and consumed by students. The activity was filled with enthusiasm and joy, reflected in the students’ engagement, attentiveness, and dedication to nurturing the plants they helped grow.
